Tree Surgery

Landtech has teams of highly qualified arborists capable of carrying out all tree surgery operations, from scrub clearance to dismantling the largest difficult trees. Trees on or near water are a speciality using our boats and winching equipment.

Tree Surveys

Our arboriculturist is qualified to carry out all forms of tree survey and produce long term management plans. These are produced in CD-ROM form with annotated maps and worksheets for use on PC based systems.

Aquatic Weed Control

We have a number of boat mounted sprayers and specialised equipment for all types of aquatic weeds. Site inspections and recommendations are given by our qualified agronomist, who obtains all necessary permissions from the Environment Agency for the works, before it is done by our qualified staff. Advice should be sought on methods and timing control.

Duckweed Removal and Control

Landtech has developed a system which we believe to be the only one available in the UK to control this difficult weed. This is a weed which is best controlled before it becomes established on a watercourse, large areas can cost many thousands of pounds to remove and may take several seasons to achieve. Seek early advice if you find duckweed is starting to accumulate. This is a rapidly increasing problem as growing seasons get longer and winters milder.

General Weed Control

We give advice and perform weed control on sports grounds, highways, parks, railways etc. All staff are appropriately qualified.

Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed Control

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 makes it an offence to plant or cause these weeds to grow in the wild. Landtech has developed a method of Japanese Knotweed control that is both more effective and cheaper than currently used methods; savings of 50% on the cost of treatment can be made compared to most currently recommended systems. 95% control is usually achieved in year one with eradication guaranteed by year 3.

Advice should be sought to plan eradication schemes for these weeds, as timing and method of application are vital to achieve good control.

Grounds Maintenance and Landscaping

Landtech provides grounds maintenance services to offices, factories, housing associations, and housing developments. We also have specialised mowing equipment for the mowing of canal towpaths.
